Van den Braembussche is a company specializing in the trade of construction materials and the operation of a concrete plant.
The project involves the construction of a new concrete plant, various storage sheds for building materials — both open and closed — supplemented with offices, a showroom and a collection centre.
The design focuses on sustainable and rational principles, with the reuse of rainwater for concrete production, a well-thought-out layout and orientation, a minimal footprint and efficient detailing. The supply of raw materials by waterway is also in line with this vision.
The office volume protrudes from the main volume and functions as a central observation and control point with a view of, among other things, the weighbridge, the storage areas, the concrete plant and the car park.
